Video Production for Nonprofits

That Move People To Act

Digital Sonder is a Native-owned, story-first video production company based in Fort Worth, serving nonprofit organizations across DFW and nationwide.

We work with Executive Directors and marketing teams who need video

that does more than look polished.

It needs to move donors to give, volunteers to show up,

and communities to pay attention.

Every project starts with the same question:

what's the real story here, and who needs to feel it?

Why Nonprofits Choose Story-First Video

Nonprofit work is relational, not transactional. Your video should feel that way too. We don't build ads. We build honest, patient stories about the people your organization serves and the people who make that work possible. That approach takes longer than a typical promo shoot, but it's why our nonprofit clients keep coming back for their next campaign, gala, or annual report instead of shopping around each time.

Donor & Impact Stories

Donor and impact videos are where we spend most of our time with nonprofit clients, and it's the work we're proudest of. We've produced individual resident and beneficiary stories for organizations like SoldiersVillage, a veteran transitional housing nonprofit, and structured documentary-style interviews for Project4031.

In both cases building a project around real people's voices, not stock narration.

If your organization needs a video that helps donors understand exactly

who their gift supports, this is that.

Event & Gala Coverage

Galas, fundraising events, and donor appreciation nights are high-stakes, one-shot

opportunities. There’s no reshoot day. We cover nonprofit events across Fort Worth and

the greater DFW area with the same story-first approach we bring to interview-based work,

capturing the moments that make a highlight reel feel like part of your organization’s larger

story rather than a generic event recap.

Project4031 – A nonprofit helping terminally ill patients and their families.

The Challenge

Project4031 was looking for a new way to highlight patient stories in an engaging way that stood out from the typical "corporate" style video and provided the necessary information for the end-of-year Impact video.

The Approach

Digital Sonder pitched the idea to capture one client story per quarter, between Q1 and Q3, in a documentary-style format to be able to give the families a legacy video of their family member to remember them after they have passed. We then used portions of interview footage from each video, along with social worker interviews, to put together the Impact video.

The Outcome

Each family we interviewed expressed sincere gratitude for the videos they now have and can share, to keep the memory of their loved one alive. The Impact video was used as a part of their gala presentation, and became their primary donor-facing video for the year.

SoldiersVillage – A nonprofit helping veterans experiencing homelessness with transitional housing.

The Challenge

SoldiersVillage wanted a rich library of videos that incorporated storytelling, to both educate their audience on how they help and what resources they can provide, as well as appeal to donors and individuals looking to support their mission.

The Approach

Through a half day shoot in a studio, Digital Sonder was able to interview key board members and staff of SoldiersVillage, as well as past and present residents, to capture the full story and impact of SoldiersVillage.

The Outcome

Digital Sonder produced 5 pieces of content: a Promo Video that can help build awareness via social media, website and speaking engagements. An "About Us" Video that can help drive curiosity and education via website visits. And 3 Storytelling Videos with past and present SoldiersVillage residents, telling their story and the impact that SoldiersVillage had on their lives.

Pregnancy Help 4 U – A nonprofit providing pregnancy services for struggling mothers and families.

The Challenge

PregnancyHelp4U needed high-quality videos that brought awareness to their mission and told the stories of the people they've been able to help. They also needed high-impact coverage of their gala to showcase their main fundraising event of the year and promote future events.

The Approach

Splitting the project into a multi-day production, Digital Sonder was able to film interviews with Tonya, the Executive Director, and previous clients of the organization's, all leading up to the Gala event. The goal was to have content ready to show as a part of the Gala's programming to provide an emotional hook.

The Outcome

Digital Sonder produced a total of 7 videos, not including vertical versions tailored for social media. The Testimonial compilation video was presented at the Gala, helping to contribute an emotional hook that drove fundraising before the live auction. The rest of the assets were delivered and used in various web and social capacities.

What It's Like to Work With Us

Every project starts with a discovery conversation, not a camera.

We take the time to understand your organization’s mission, your audience, and what success looks like for this specific piece before we ever talk about shot lists.

From there, we move into strategy and planning, then execution, with clear communication at every step so you’re never wondering where things stand.

Most nonprofit projects run 4 to 8+ weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on scope of work and deliverables needed.
